(*) Title from 'Spencer Asks, There Is No Answer', by Sarah Mongold
The landscape's barren and empty only to those who don't know where to look. But Sam does, and he sees life crowding every bright lit color. The little puffs of dust he and Dean leave on the flaking soil are iridescent, vivid sign of their passage. Sam turns around, holds them in the ochre air, smiles delighted when they blow up in steaming waterfalls.
Dean averts his eyes. Sam's arm falls.
"What are you thinking about?" he asks Dean.
"Just you, Sammy."
Sam breathes his happiness into the radiant red of the earth. She answers eager and full of possibilities.

Hell is huge. A landscape sliding between blood and bone, stone and fire. On the horizon there is always more of Hell to walk.
When Sam finds Dean he has been walking for two-hundred and seventy-eight years. Searching for two-hundred and seventy-eight years. Then Dean shudders from the gloom, the shadows falling away from him and Sam can see him clearly. He smiles and watches Dean learn to smile all over again.
"I found you," he says.
"You took too long," says Dean sadly, and his eyes turn black.
"It doesn't matter," Sam tells him, and his eyes turn yellow.Драббл №3:Title: All We Once Knew

This was easier, once. Even sneaking around behind Dad's back or going days with nothing but heated glances and secret kisses was easier than the disalignment after Dean came back.
Dean didn't know who he was anymore, and Castiel's plans didn't change that. Nothing could change what he'd done, or excuse it, and Sam was already avoiding him. Dean couldn't risk making that worse.
He didn't know Sam's secret was almost as bad.
Now, with the world wending toward destruction, their mistakes fall silent when Sam kisses him like none of that ever happened.
Dean has never needed it more.
